OK. So I live around the corner from the actual warehouse for the national headquarters of Harbor Freight. Attached to it is a retail store. Its a huge man toy store. Since buying the bus, I have been compelled to go there about a dozen or so times. I always find something additional than what I was actually going there for… and my last trip was no exception. I was walking down the lighting isle and came across a 9″ blue LED strip. I got one just to test it out.
The bus came equipped with a rear window defroster that has long since been non-operational. Infact, there are are no wires that go from the switch in the dash to the rear window… so I saw an opportunity. Since the switch was still live, it simply needed something to power… so, I wired up my new LEDs to the green switch and VOLIA!!! Let there be (blue) light! They are pretty powerful. I will install them under the dash so I can light the floor at night. Cool, huh!?!
